PHT Audio/Video & Security (formerly known as Palmetto Home Theater) was established in Florence, SC during 2007. Quincey Gerrald, the Owner/Operator of PHT, grew up in Marion, SC, and has always been intrigued by electronics. His interest in technology led him to become Assistant Store Manager at Circuit City before being recruited to start up Best Buy in 2001. Working in a big-box store was a great experience but the entrepreneurial spirit was calling Quincey.
In early 2007, Palmetto Home Theater was founded on the idea of premium service will win out. PHT was running cables for TV’s and speakers, mounting them, and programming smart remote controls from Richland County to Horry County and everywhere in between. The business grew based on a stellar reputation for service and local business owners took notice.
In 2008, PHT began offering structured cabling to commercial entities to meet the audio/video and security needs of local businesses. The convergence of networking technology allowed PHT to automate the control of lights, window treatments, HVAC, monitors, surveillance, and entertainment systems. Today, PHT Audio/Video and Security, is leading corporations and home owners into the future of automation by leveraging the highest quality products at affordable prices from market leading technology vendors.
